Hey friends! Today I am chatting all about Oakspire: The Builders of the Sunleaf Grove! This is a new game coming to crowdfunding from Lucky Duck Games! Oakspire is a cozy tableau-building game where you'll carefully select Project Cards that represent different stages of wood crafting. These cards can be used in a multitude of ways: Turn them into Restored Wood to fuel your production chain, play them as Company Actions to move, process, or upgrade your resources on supply lines, or blueprint them to start working on a new building! Hey friends! Today we are learning how to play the newest title from Renegade Game Studios, Sea Scroll! Sea Scroll is a quick-playing, deceptively strategic set collection card game where players will guide schools of fish from the Reef, or the central discard area, to their personal Habitat to form schools of fish, or card sets in front of them. This is my tutorial and full solo playthrough of the solo only 18-card micro game Astro ROVE by designers Dustin Dobson and Milan Zivkovic and publisher @ButtonShy , who has generously provided a preview copy for this playthrough.
After playing with every Marvel character in this box, we review this version of Dice Throne! The fast-paced Dice Throne can be played 1v1, or more of a king of the hill method with 3 players (free-for-all). We did not test the team modes though. Also known as Marvel Dice Throne: Battle Chest, this box has popular hasymmetric eroes like Thor and Dr. Strange, then some villains like Loki! Ashton’s favorite to play is Black Panther. There’s plenty of take-that and hand management with the specific and generic cards. But fundamentally, this card is all about dice rolling and doing damage, where straights and 6’s will benefit you to do big damage! Ideally, you want to do damage that cannot be defended against, since that will allow your opponent to defend against it.
